Have you been worrying so much that you just feel too overwhelmed to do anything?
Maybe you've been so scattered that you haven't been able to focus, or perhaps you've been procrastinating for so long that you worry about failing. You may often overthink things you've said or plan 20 steps ahead. Perhaps you feel tired from spiraling and find it impossible to just relax and enjoy life.
Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice an impact in every part of your life:
Not doing as well as you'd like to at work or school
Being unable to enjoy your progress because you're busy trying to predict catastrophes
Avoiding making important decisions or taking action
Anxiety therapy can help.
It may feel impossible right now, but you can have a clear and focused mind. You can achieve a state of relaxation. You can live a happier life. And I can help you get there.
Anxiety therapy helps you do 4 things:
Be more present
Take things one step at a time
Get the momentum and motivation you need to get things done
Feel more comfortable in your own skin
I'll help you through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to anxiety therapy comes from a place of acceptance and nonjudgment. I can help you learn how to stop fighting your thoughts and feelings (often making things worse) and instead work with them, so you can have the relief you need.
Frequently Asked Questions About Anxiety Therapy
How do I know if anxiety therapy will work for me?
Many of the skills we practice and concepts I teach are about bringing awareness to the present moment. If you're the kind of person who spends a lot of time thinking about the future, you're more likely to often feel emotions related to anxiety. Being able to bring awareness back to the present helps most people let go of these feelings.
What are anxiety therapy sessions like?
Near the beginning of each session, we might practice a skill like mindfulness, meditation, or breathing exercises. Afterwards, I provide more information on related concepts and how you can apply them in real life. With the remaining time, we explore the issues most important to you from a more relaxed state of mind.
What are online therapy sessions like?
First, you use your favorite device to press a link in an email you get 10 minutes before the session. This brings you to a web-based area where you can make sure your sound, camera, and connection is working before joining. When you're ready, you press a button to join. Then, we do our session just like you would in person.
